La Vanille Nature Park… a visit to the flora and fauna of Mauritius must not be forgotten

Also known as the Crocodile Park and the La Vanille Nature Park, La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes is located in the Rivière des Anguilles village in the south of Mauritius. The village in itself is a cultural treasure, having kept the Mauritian originality in the veins of the residents. The houses, the roads, the trees, the air, all breathe out the feel of the real culture of Mauritius. The Nature Park is the home to a very rich Mauritian flora and fauna. The main attraction being the Nile Crocodiles and Giant Tortoises, the park is also home to a variety of local insects, reptiles and birds. The palm and banana trees, the bamboo hedges, the badamier trees among many others provide shade along with a natural green decor to the place. Colorful insects and reptiles like the gecko and butterflies fill the place with their own touch of magic. Get the chance to feed and play with the giant tortoises, watch beautiful fish in their ponds and see the funny faces of monkeys. Lose yourself in Nature. If you are hungry, why not try some meals of the Mauritius culture in the Park’s restaurant? And why lose the chance of tasting a meal made from crocodile’s meat? The La Vanille Nature Park is a place nobody regrets visiting.
